THERE'S a new place to rest weary legs at a popular West Devon beauty sport, thanks to a community donation.

David John, chairman of Morecare Chagford Association, and a group of Morecare Volunteers gathered on Meldon Hill on Tuesday, September 7 to 'launch' the new seat which has been placed there by Morecare following a donation from a generous benefactor.

Kay Arnett, one of the earliest people that Morecare helped, cut the ribbon.

The seat was actually erected a couple of weeks ago and it has already proved to be a popular resting place for local walkers and picnickers.

The land on which the seat has been placed was cleared by Mike Palmer and Chris Miller from Chagford Conservation group.
