IT'S not every day you attend an annual meeting where the chairman is wearing bunny ears and the treasurer a clown's wig — but this was what the audience attending the recent annual annual meeting of the Get Changed Theatre Company found!

Other surprises in store, for those attending, were rigorous checks on arrival by the 'security' team (actors) to 'make safe' the meeting. Those who made it through — everyone — was then given a funny hat to wear. In the corner some of the participants of Get Changed acting as grannies, knitted away, drinking tea and hobbling around on walking sticks.

The treasurer's report was given by group members acting as mad scientists and mathematics boffins, who gave an excellent explanation of the different pie, spider and bar charts — the favourites for Get Changed seemed to be apple pie and the money spider.

The election of officers was make possible by 'Sir Alan Sugar' and his two able assistants who did a splendid job of facilitating the hiring of the main officers and management committee.

The well attended event saw the presentation of two cheques from Okehampton Town Council and The Hatherleigh Pink Ladies and finished with a showing of the Get Changed showreel and a free cream tea for everyone.
