THE annual Tavy 7 road race took place on Sunday in windy but sunny conditions on a perfect autumnal day.
The race proved as popular as ever, selling out all 600 places two weeks before the 32nd running of the event.
Tavistock Run Project’s Jordan Andrews won the men’s race in 39 minutes 10 seconds, while Elizabeth Dyson of Haldon Hill Runners took first in the ladies’ race.
Race organiser Martin Exley-Deane said: ‘Yet again the iconic Tavy 7 road race has proved to be hugely popular and a huge success, not only with runners locally of all abilities, but it now has many fans travelling from long distances to take part.
‘I’d like to thank Tavistock Lions in particular for their help and our sponsors Mansbridge Balment and Hansford Bell who also helped marshal on the day.’
