CASE (Chagford Action for Sustainable Energy) are responding to increased concerns about fuel security, rising energy prices and the detrimental effects on the climate  of using fossil fuels by hosting an Energy Fair on Saturday, June 12 in the town's Jubilee Hall.

Organisers say these concerns and the new opportunities that the  'Green Energy Feed in Tariffs' can offer people will be raised at the event, which takes place between 2pm and 6.30pm. Entrance is free.

CASE have successfully installed 14 Solar PV water thermal heating systems for Chagford residents that were supported by a grant from the Dartmoor National Park Sustainable Development Fund.

Details of this project will be presented at the fair, along with other short talks on key subjects by the Ward Forrester Project and Devon Energy Action.

Perran Newman, a spokesperson for CASE, said: 'People can meet local suppliers and installers, while also benefiting  from the unbiased expertise of CASE members.'

Refreshments will be available and all are welcome.
