PROSPECTIVE candidates and agents who are interested in standing for election to the new Central Devon constituency seat are invited to come along to an evening briefing arranged by the West Devon Borough Council's elections team on Tuesday April 6 at 6pm.

The event, which will take place at the council's Kilworthy Park offices in Tavistock, will give an insight into the general election nomination process, along with the expected timetable leading up to the election, information about the new Central Devon seat, and an opportunity to ask questions.

Following recent boundary changes, the new Central Devon seat runs alongside the West Devon and Torridge seat, meaning a change of parliamentary constituencies for some residents.
