A BRAVE duo from Waitrose Okehampton have raised more than £2,000 for charity after taking part in a skydive.

Rachel Hole and Rachel Bolt completed a sponsored skydive on August 18 to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the British Heart Foundation.

The experience was made all the more nerve-wracking with a four-hour weather delay, and a 20-minute flight up to 15,000ft.

Rachel Hole said: 'It was amazing, but absolutely terrifying.'

The ladies expressed thanks to everyone who helped them raise the money, which will be split evenly between the two charities. If anyone would like to sponsor them, visit http://www.justgiving.com/rachel-bolt">www.justgiving.com/rachel-bolt
