THREE of Okehampton's churches are putting together an evening of fun and laughter for all the family.

Every year October 31 conjures up different thoughts for people, so New Life Church, Inspiration Church and Gilead Foundation will be holding the event, Shine, for families to provide an alternative to Hallowe'en.

The evening will consist of family games, action songs, hot dogs and cakes, as well as lots of entertainment.

The purpose of the evening is for everyone to enjoy themselves.

Entry costs £1 per person with no charge for the under 5s and no fancy dress is to be worn.

The event starts at 6pm on Saturday, October 31 and food will be available at 7.30pm. The evening will finish at 8.30pm.

Tickets must be purchased by Monday, October 26 and can be bought in advance from any of the three churches or can be purchased directly from Esther Waters on 01837 53032.
