A MAN from Cheshire is hoping to find out more about an Okehampton couple who gave his evacuee father a home during the Second World War.
Chris Haines’ father Roy stayed with a Mr and Mrs Jim Crocker in the town as a child during the war.
Chris, who lives in Cheshire, said his father would have been about ten at the time.
‘My dad had a lovely time with them, they were a lovely family and he was really well looked-after. I think they had something to do with the church.’
Chris can be contacted on 07960 712925 or by email [email protected].
