BLOGGER Jenny How, author of the popular Active Dartmoor blog, has entered her favourite dog walk around Dartmoor into a national search to find the most popular in the UK.

The moorland walk near Belstone features a visit to the Nine Maidens stone circle. Jenny described the walk as ‘boasting some of the most spectacular views in Southern England and home to famous tors. This walk is a tranquil way to spend the afternoon exploring with your canine companions. Featuring rivers, lakes and the quaint village of Belstone, it’s well worth a visit’.

The walk is three miles long and take around 90 minutes, allowing for time to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

The competition is in aid of the Mayhew Animal Home, which has been supporting dogs and cats in need of new homes since 1886. For each vote received, competition organisers Gala Bingo will donate 50p donation to the animal home.

Voting is open and closes on August 22.
