THE annual five-legged race for Children In Need in Okehampton takes place on Friday, November 19 and teams are being encouraged to enter.

Organised by Okehampton Round Table, the event involves teams of four, tied at the ankles throughout, visiting each participating hostelry in Okehampton. At least one team member must sign for and consume a drink at each pub, either alcoholic or soft.

Team categories are men's, ladies, mixed, business and pub and there is a main trophy awarded for the most sponsorship money handed in on the night.

There will be other team prizes for winning the race and for best fancy dress.
