THE Okehampton and District branch of the Devonshire Association will be welcoming broadcaster Tony Beard, aka 'the Widecombe Wag' to its meeting this month.

West Devon born Tony will be giving a talk on the story and history of his home village.

The talk will take place on Thursday September 23, at the Ockment Centre in Okehampton at 7.30pm.

Everyone is welcome to attend. Admission to the meeting is free, but donations are welcome.
