A FIRE crew from Yelverton was called to reports of a car on fire on the A386 between Tavistock and Horrabridge on Friday, just before 8pm.

Crews used two hose-reel jets and two sets of breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.

The car was left severely damaged and the cause was believed to be accidental.
