A NEW method of cardboard collection in the Torridge district is to be made permanent following a successful trial.

On selected routes during the trial, two South Molton Recycle trucks have been collecting dry recycling. One has picked up the green box of tins, bottles and newspapers as normal, but a second has gathered up cardboard left out on the kerbside for recycling.

The trial has been so successful that the arrangement has now been made permanent.

Halwill Junction, Shebbear and Black Torrington will see their collections take place on Mondays.
