Okehampton Carnival committee held its annual meeting recently and presented cheques to Okehampton Otters Swimming Club and the Okehampton and District Transport group.

At the meeting members of the committee also took the time to remember their former treasurer Marie Daniel, who died recently after many years helping and participating in the carnival.

In memory of Marie the committee decided that this year's collection would be donated to the Exeter Leukaemia Fund, a charity Marie supported.
