PEOPLE who find themselves isolated due to a lack of personal transport can find out more about the merits of the Okehampton and District Community Transport Group at a special coffee morning this weekend.
The group provides transport for people living in rurally isolated locations and in town to hospital and medical appointments, and for social visits.
The scheme is run by volunteer drivers, and operates both a ring and ride bus service and a community car service.
On Saturday, May 11, the transport group will hold a coffee morning at Fairplace Church, Okehampton, from 10am to noon with stalls, a raffle, bric a brac and books.
There will be information about all the services they provide, and there will be a wheelchair accessible vehicle on display outside.
For more information on the group call 01837 55000.
