WITH Okehampton A top of their league this friendly game against Tavistock was important to restart the season after Christmas.

The game started with both teams pushing for possession and was end to end for the first 10 minutes.

With a formation change from Okehampton pushing Rob Yells back into the sweeper position and Adam Cockayne into the central mid field position Okehampton started to gain the advantage, gaining a short corner with Jacob Llyod striking the ball cleanly and Stuart Jarvis pushing the ball into Tavistock's goal.

With some excellent defender Reinier Rademaker and man of the match Will Cooper the lead was taken to the end of the first half.

The second half saw the Okehampton team grow in confidence with mid-feilders Adam Cockayne, Dann Rademaker and Alex Emuss working well to provide for the forwards with resulted in a great run across the D and an excellent strike by Jacob Llyod to double the lead.

Tavistock kept pushing, but with some excellent saves from keeper Hayden Bond and left back Tim Morgan clearing well Tavistock were kept at bay.

With all rounder Ed Howard supporting the team greatly contributing and a great counter attack from Josh Balsdon adding to his already impressive season's goal tally saw Okehampton bring home the win comfortably.
