RESIDENTS of Halwill and Shebbear will have the opportunity to talk to members of Torridge District Council's customer services, waste and recycling, and service improvement teams — on their own doorstep.

Council staff will be holding a TDC Roadshow on Wednesday, February 12 in both villages, and members of the public are welcome to come along and talk to officers about any concerns or suggestions they may have about the council.

Cllr Philip Collins, leader of TDC, said: 'This is not only an opportunity for local residents to come and talk to us, but also an opportunity for us to listen and understand their issues in their community. It's not often we are able to go out to our rural communities so I hope that villagers in Halwill and High Shebbear do come and see us on February 12.'

For residents who can't make it to the Roadshow, there is an opportunity to tell the council what you think by taking part in a survey on their website at http://www.torridge.gov.uk/consultations">www.torridge.gov.uk/consultations

Alternatively, hard copies of the questionnaire are available at each of the council's offices.

The roadshow will be in Halwill Parish Hall from 10.30am to 12.30pm, and Shebbear Village Hall from 2pm to 4pm.
