A FORMER Okehampton College student has gained a science degree and won a prestigious prize while working full-time.
Kay Denham (nee Leahy) achieved a Master of Science degree in waste water technology at Cranfield University in Bedfordshire.
She also won the Yorkshire Water Prize for best thesis and the School of Applied Science prize for best part-time student.
Kay, who now lives in Barnstaple and works as a design engineer in the water industry, is a former pupil of Winkleigh Primary School, Chumleigh Community College and an A-level student at Okehampton College.
She took her first degree in mechanical engineering at Plymouth University.
