Chagford Conservation Group helped to plant trees in Chagford’s Jubilee Gardens in commemoration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee last week (February 23).

The conservation group helped Stone Lane Gardens, which provided the trees, plant seven of them in the Jubilee Field as part of Chagford Parish Council’s Jubilee celebration plans.

As one of the organisers, Gay Hill, chair of Chagford’s parish council, attended the event.

There are now plans to allow Chagford children to put up a dedication sign by the trees although the date has not been set.

This year the Queen is celebrating 70 years on the throne and public celebrations are planned.
