I HAVE recently returned from a pleasant trip to Italy and enjoyed its unspoilt countryside where I did not see a single wind turbine. Unfortunately we in Devon and Cornwall now have numerous sporadically and randomly placed large moving subsidy driven turbines at all too frequent but irregular intervals that distract and spoil the view for miles around. The A30 into Cornwall is littered with them and everything must be done to protect Dartmoor from these ugly inefficient machines. David Bagshall. Broadbury Okehampton
