THREE crews from Okehampton and Launceston were called to a building on fire at Germansweek on January 13.

Firefighters arrived just before 10.30am and found a detached farm house of two floors with smoke issuing.

Crews then requested a further appliance, and firefighters from Hatherleigh and Launceston attended.

Crews used three hose reels, six sets of breathing apparatus and one covering jet to extinguish the fire.

The ground floor kitchen was severely damaged by the fire and the ground floor was damaged by smoke.

Thirty per cent of the bedroom was severely damaged by the fire and smoke, with the remainder of the first floor being damaged by smoke.

The fire was determined to be accidental.
