four members of the Okehampton Army Cadet Force represented North Devon in the football, cross country and rugby county championships on Saturday week.

This sporting competition marked the starting point for the Army Cadets 2011 sports season.

Having proven her talent last weekend, Cadet Ebony French will be heading to Yeovilton this Sunday to represent Devon in the South West Regional Junior Girls' Football Championships.

Her fellow cadets wish her the best of luck in the competition and look forward to finding out if she is selected for the nationals in March.

There are 35 cadets, aged between 12 and 18, in the Okehampton force.
