FIREFIGHTERS were called to a tractor on fire in a layby on the road from Brandis Cross to Spreyton on Monday morning.

Two crews from North Tawton and one from Chagford attended the incident just before 5.30am.

The agricultural telehandler was well alight and crews used two breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and small tools to extinguish the fire.

The tractor was left completely damaged by the fire.
