A SPECIAL meeting of a community forum will give local people the chance to gain a better understanding of education and traffic management issues in the Okehampton area.

The meeting of the Devon Heartlands Community Forum will be held on Friday January 21 at 2pm in the Ockment Centre, and will include a discussion led by Jon Sharpe and George Marshall from Devon County Council.

It is hoped the meeting will help forum members respond to the latest changes to the West Devon Core Strategy document, and to fully understand the impact of spending cuts imposed on Devon County Council on the proposals on education and infrastructure.
