FOUR Hatherleigh residents will be shaving their heads this weekend in order to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Jane Payne, Ben Whiting, Tim Brandon-King and Tim Hewke are braving the shave on Sunday, August 28 at the Tally Ho! pub in Hatherleigh.
The head shaving will take place at 7.30pm and will be followed by live music until late.

Brave to Shave is a campaign run by Macmillan which encourages people to take the plunge and chop off their locks in order to raise money that will go towards supporting people suffering with cancer. To find out more about the charity campaign visit bravetheshave.org.uk
As of June 2013, there were 3,942 Macmillan nurse posts across the UK, both in hospitals and in the community. All Macmillan nurses are registered with at least five years of experience, including two or more years in cancer or palliative care.
They have completed specialist courses in pain and symptom management, and psychological support.
Most of the nurses work in NHS hospitals or the community. A small number work in hospices and private hospitals but do not charge for their services. They assess complex needs, give advice to other healthcare professionals and support people with cancer to understand their treatment options.
