AN exhibition of embroidered art work by Hilary Sharp is now on display within the restaurant at Country Lanes Garden Centre, Okehampton.  

Hilary's unique style incorporates many recycled materials and detailed embroidery, capturing fine details of our local landscape.

The artist says her inspiration comes from walks on Dartmoor and the views.  

She said: 'There is a vastness to the Dartmoor landscape which I cannot hope to capture but I try to encapsulate details of it: a sheep sheltering from the wind by an ancient dry stone wall;  a lonely tree; the rivers; the heather and earthy colours.'

This unique collection is on show for the next six weeks.  

The Art Wall within the restaurant of the garden centre is proving very popular with artists, local customers and visitors to the area.
