LEWIS Cottage in Spreyton will be open for the National Gardens Scheme on Saturday and Sunday May 19 and 20.

Surrounded by four acres of wild, beautiful gardens and woods, Lewis Cottage has a combination of relaxed planting schemes and formal borders. Its winding walkways, woods and selections of unusual trees and plants have been inspired by the gardening styles of Beth Chatto and Gertrude Jekyll.

Visitors, including groups, are welcome by appointment. Admission is £4 for adults, children free of charge. There will be home-made teas and refreshments. For more information call Mr and Mrs Pell and Mr Orton on 07773 785939.
