A FORMER pupil from an old school in Lewdown is asking for other former pupils to get in touch to arrange a reunion.

Deborah Tabor attended Glendower School, situated in Sydenham House, Lewdown, in the 1960s and is hoping to arrange an ‘Old Girls Reunion’ if enough people get in contact with her.

The boarding and day school operated from 1940 to July 1966, teaching girls aged from ten to 18 years old. The headteacher during Deborah’s time was a Mrs Strickland.

Deborah said: ‘I was a pupil there from September 1964 to July 1966 and I’m hoping to arrange an Old Girls Reunion, as it will be 50 years this year since it closed down. I have many happy memories of being there and it would be wonderful to reconnect with old pupils. My idea is to arrange a luncheon, on a date to be decided upon, somewhere in the vicinity of Sydenham House.’
