STUDENTS from Okehampton College have successfully completed the Young Enterprise scheme, which involved making and selling 'glow in the dark' products.

The 23 students made a profit of £305.48 — which they will use towards a day out to celebrate their success, — when they sold products including glow in the dark shoes and a song written and sung by a student. During the scheme they gained skills in practical experience of the world of work and obtained the Young Enterprise Certificate, which is recognised by employees and educational providers.

Five of the students — Megan Crimmins, Aaron Leahy, Stephen Downing, Archie Embling and Jessica Jeffery — also successfully completed a GCSE in Enterprise.
