OKEHAMPTON Community Recreational Association is launching a new golf tournament as part of Okehampton Sports and Fitness Festival 2010.
Stuart Lord, the OCRA manager, said: Thanks to the Manor House and Ashbury for sponsoring who are allowing us use of their course on Tuesday, July 13 as a fundraiser for Sportsweek, this is a great event that will suit and excite all standards of golf player".
The handicapped competition is over the 18 hole par 3 course at Ashbury Golf Hotel in Fowley Cross. People can come along between 5.30-8pm, entry is £3 for adults and £2 for students there will be prizes for best man, woman and under 16. There will also be prizes for nearest to the hole. Please come along on the night with friends or family.

TEENAGERS and adults have been invited to join in a badminton competition as part of the Okehampton Sports and Fitness Festival 2010.
The competition is being held at the town's Parklands Leisure Centre on Monday, July 12, between 7-9pm. Both singles and doubles matches will be held.
