Okehampton U13s 3
Colyton U13s 0
AFTER a break of a few weeks, Argyle took on one of their toughest rivals. The match began as a cagey affair with neither side really taking control.
Okehampton were unable to get their usual passing game together and Colyton found themselves in good scoring positions on a few occasions during the first half, but the Argyle defence held out with strong tackling from the back four.
Argyle opened the scoring, Gostling running through the middle and tucking the ball into the corner of Colyton's net.
The second half was much the same as the first with Okehampton wasting a lot of possession and not taking their chances. They eventually scored their second with Packer finishing from close range.
Argyle had a small scare as Colyton broke forward and their shot hit the post but Okehampton were eventually comfortable winners as Gostling scored his second goal and sealed victory.

IN this local derby Okehampton started strongly, playing good, attractive football and midway through the first half deservedly took the lead when Ross Voaden lobbed the keeper from the edge of the area.
The centre midfield partnership of Ben Barkwill and Rhys Palmer were controlling the game with great tackling and ball distribution.
Okehampton extended their lead when a free kick was awarded ten yards out of the area. A great free kick taken by Voaden was brilliantly saved by the Saints keeper but Daniel Fogerty was alert and scored from the rebound for his debut goal.
A brief lapse in concentration allowed a quick breakaway from Saints, ending with a fine shot which was superbly saved by Argyle keeper Aaron Dearing, but a Saints player was quickest to the loose ball and scored.
The second half was evenly fought with chances at both ends. Good football by both teams made it a really entertaining game.
Okehampton scored again when a great run down the left wing by Tallan Burns and a fine cross enabled Charlie Goldsworthy to score his first goal for the club.
Okehampton's defence held firm with outstanding performances from Liam Alford and Daniel Fogerty and a good solid performance from keeper Dearing who commanded his area well throughout the game.
