STUDENTS at Okehampton College have been celebrating their graduation and junior graduation on June 26.

Students from Year 7, 8 and 9 at the college have been celebrating their achievements throughout the year, following the school's Key Stage 3 awards.

A total of 130 students received awards for improvement, effort and excellence in all subjects, along with awards for merit achievement, 100% attendance and a house award for participation and contribution in college.

Junior graduation for Year 9s was also celebrated.

For a student to gain junior graduation, they must have excellent attendance, progress and an excellent e-praise reward score.

The Year 11 house captains ran the ceremony, presenting the students to the audience and ensuring the right students received the right awards.

Other awards for Key Stage 3 students will be issued in house assemblies in the final weeks of term.

Year 11 students have completed their full graduation. It involves each student achieving a minimum score for attendance, progress and e-praise rewards during Year 11. The more points a student gains, the higher up the leaderboard they end up.

The valedictorians Jasmin Quick and Lewis Taylor gave their speeches, and sixth form president Rachel Piddington took the time to congratulate all graduates and wish them luck for the future.
