A NEW healing service, welcoming the people of Okehampton to come and pray will start in Fairplace Church later this week.

The services have been developed by a small group, which has representatives from several churches in the town and has a link with Christians Together in Okehampton.

The services, which it is hoped will become a quarterly event, are designed to allow people to pray together, and for quiet personal prayer.

The services are not meant to be led by any one church, but instead led jointly by those equipped to help lead prayer.

The first service is on Friday, November 16 at 7.30pm. St James' Chapel will then host the second event on Tuesday, November 20 at 10am.

All are welcome to both sessions, and there is no cost or donation required.

There will be tea and coffee after each session.
