West Devon is the only area which has seen a rise in coronavirus cases in the last seven days but across Devon and Cornwall there has been a drop.

A total of 3,521 new cases were confirmed across the two counties in the last week compared to 4,390 new cases confirmed the week before but the levels still remain high.

Of the 3,521 cases confirmed since January 15, 111 are in West Devon, 221 in East Devon, 258 in Exeter, 127 in Mid Devon, 72 in North Devon, 794 in Plymouth, 147 in South Hams, 245 in Teignbridge, 278 in Torbay, 39 in Torridge and 1,229 are in Cornwall.

The previous week saw 66 new cases in West Devon.

The latest statistics show the third highest weekly figure of Covid-19 cases — the total now stands at 39,061.
