THE possible regeneration of a town park, Den Brook Wind Farm and rubbish collection are just some of the topics that will come under discussion at a meeting in North Tawton this month.

The annual town meeting is due to take place in the town hall on May 25.

Town clerk David Bettoney said: 'The meeting is required by law and is an opportunity for the council to explain to members of the public its plans for the future and to report what has been done in the past year.

'The council has obtained funding in the last few days to regenerate the Frank Henson Gibbings Park, which will be an exciting project for the town and the council hopes it can involve members of the public in the scheme.'

Mr Bettoney said the council had also been in discussion with RES, developers of the wind farm to be constructed at Den Brook.

He said representatives from West Devon Borough Council would be at the meeting to explain its new rubbish collection scheme — an officer from Devon and Cornwall Police would also be attending.

'All members of the public are invited to attend,' said Mr Bettoney.

The meeting will start at 7pm.
