CADETS from 2443 Squadron ATC from Okehampton won a fantastic haul of 25 medals at the Wing Athletics competition at Par Athletic track in Cornwall on May 8, which led them to victory in the overall boys competition and second place in the overall girls competition.
The team, managed by CWO Stacey Pavely, took part in all the events in their respective age groups, with Tom Harris managing to clock the fastest time of the day for the 100 metre sprint.
The team's success has led to cadets Darren Folland, Tom Harris, Jordan Stuman, Keiran Lee, Ryan Lee, Cameron Penwill, Izzy Ewen and Emma Jenkins being selected to represent the Plymouth and Cornwall wing at the next level of the competition.
Flight Lieutenant Sarah Cohen said: 'The cadets all had a superb day. All the staff from the squadron are extremely proud of them.'
