FOLLOWING your article (February 7), praising the Okehampton Community Hospital's birthing unit, I should like to mention that I have been in and out of the Dartmoor Ward several times in the past year.
I have also had to go to the hospital to see community nurses for treatment on a regular basis for the last three years.
The matron, ward nurses, community nurses, hotel services, physiotherapists and all of the receptionists, are the most caring, considerate team of people I have ever met.
I should like you to give a mention of this opinion in your paper. There are such a lot of bad things happening in some hospitals as reported in the daily papers as well as on television and radio, I think that Okehampton Hospital deserves as much praise as possible for its services and staff.
