THERE must be hundreds of people in Okehampton who are more intelligent than me. So, I would like to ask someone to answer a question for me: What is point-nine of a penny?
Now, I might be getting old and senile, but in my 68 years on this planet the only things less than a penny were a halfpenny and farthing! And that's going back a bit!
So how come garages can charge, for example, £1.35.9 per litre? In my own little world I believe that this cannot be legal if there is no such coin!
It probably came from the idea that shops started with prices like £4.99, yours for under a fiver. But at least you could count that out in loose change.
Has anyone out there got point-nine of a penny in their pocket? I'd love to see it!
