Meanwhile 2020 saw 113 animals killed — 13 ponies, 94 sheep and five cows — while 29 animals were injured.
The figures were released by the police after officers carried out a speed operation during low visibility on Dartmoor earlier this month.
They found that many drivers were driving at well above the speed that was safe.
Police say anything above 25mph in poor conditions on Dartmoor puts animals and other road users at risk.
