A HISTORY enthusiast from Exeter is looking to find out information about a soldier from Okehampton who fought in the First World War.

Mike Robins is looking to find out any information he can about Percy Lock, born in Okehampton in 1884. He signed up to join the army in around 1902 or 1904, and served in the Devonshire Regiment's 2nd Battalion on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.

Mike has three of Percy's war medals, including a victory medal and a good service long conduct medal. He is looking to find out more about Percy's life before, during and after the war.

He believes that Percy died in 1954, but has no idea what happened to him after the events of the First World War.
