THE 2014 lecture programme of the Dartmoor Decorative and Fine Arts Society kicks off on Wednesday, February 26.

Jeremy Black will give a lecture on the art and meaning of maps. The talk will be held in the Charter Hall, Okehampton. Doors open at 9.45am for tea and coffee with a 10.30am prompt start.

Everyone is welcome. For non members a voluntary donation of £10 per talk is requested. Annual DDFAS membership costs £45 or £85 for a couple for nine lectures on a variety of arts related and historical subjects with a quarterly magazine included.

On Wednesday, March 12, Imogen will be talking about the Vikings, why they came to Britain, and what they hoped to achieve.
