A STUDENT from Okehampton College has shaved his head to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Lewie Embling, aged 14, had his head shaved on February 2 in front of friends and family at the Tally Ho! pub in Hatherleigh.

Lewie, who was fond of his mop of hair, was inspired to help after reading a story about a nine-year-old who had only ever seen seven people because he suffered from leukaemia and had to be kept in a sterile environment.

He said the headshave was 'the least I could do.
