OKEHAMPTON Carnival has been cancelled due to the new rules prohibiting gatherings of more than six people — however people in the town are still invited to enter remote classes on the original theme of ‘A Little Light Relief’.

Forms are now available from Donald’s Menswear on Fore Street to enter classes for the best decorated shop window, the best decorated residential window, decorated paper plate and decorated hat. Members of Okehampton Round Table will be helping the carnival committee judge the best dressed window displays. Decorated plates can be dropped off for judging in Simmons Park on Sunday, October 11 between 10am and 2pm.
