NORTH Tawton upset the form book to beat Old Plymouth Mannameadians in this first round of the cup on Saturday, largely thanks to a dominant first half performance.
The home side came into this game on the back of three league defeats while OPM were looking to continue a run of three straight victories.
Winger Tom Chisholm got a try for the home side which was then added to by number eight Steve King who went over after an impressive driving maul from North Tawton.
Dave Fewings added a conversion and two penalties before the break to put the home side on top.
Both sides traded penalties after the break, Dave Fewings for North Tawton and Henry Matthews for OPM.
This week North Tawton are away to Plymstock AO, kick-off 2.30pm.
