NORTH Tawton Pharmacy has moved to The Square in North Tawton and was declared open for trade on Monday, November 7.

Pharmacy director Fiona Mullins said: ‘We are very excited that we are moving North Tawton Pharmacy to a few doors down from our current premises to the old Natwest Bank building on the square in North Tawton.’

The building has been renovated to provide easier access, bespoke dispensary to enable more space to work efficiently, and a new retail area which contains a selection of toiletries, make up and gifts.

The relocation of the pharmacy has also allowed for a private consultation room from which pharmacists can provide healthcare services such as medication use reviews, smoking cessation and blood pressure monitoring, to name a few.

Fiona added: ‘These are difficult times for pharmacies across the country. The Government is proposing efficiency drives and cuts to the pharmacy budget which could significantly impact pharmacy provision across England. Therefore we want to ensure we are best placed to withstand these uncertain times and deliver an efficient pharmacy service to meet the ever growing needs of the NHS.

‘Most importantly we believe that moving the pharmacy into new premises will help us to deliver a modernised pharmacy service to the community we serve.

‘By supporting your local pharmacy it ensures it will be there for the years to come. We hugely value the continued support of all of our customers and the town of North Tawton.

‘Please feel free to drop by and see us. Pharmacist Orla and shop supervisor Ann, along with the rest of the pharmacy team, very much look forward to welcoming you!’
