RECREATION charity OCRA has announced five new sport, music and fitness sessions for people over 50 years of age in Okehampton, North Tawton and Hatherleigh.

In Okehampton The Social Sing starts on Tuesday, April 26 at the OCRA Pavilion at 2pm which will offer fun warm ups, a range of musical styles, a chance to socialise and sing songs in a relaxed environment. There is free tea, coffee and biscuits. Sessions cost £2 or £10 for six weeks.

Walking football starts the same day (April 26) at Okehampton College sports hall at 7pm to 8pm.

Stretch and Strength at the OCRA Pavilion on Mondays from noon to 1pm is a great chance for people with limited strength and mobility to take part in an exercise class that incorporates seated, standing and mat based exercise to develop core strength, leading to better balance and movement.

Fortnightly seated exercise to music classes are to start in North Tawton Town Hall on Thursday, April 28 from 11am to noon and Hatherleigh Community Centre from 11.15am to 12.15pm. The sessions will be informal, friendly and fun with free tea and coffee at the end of the session.
