FOLLOWING their recent sucess in the regional schools table tennis teams championships, Okehampton primary school's U11s girls team joined Okehampton College's U13 boys team in the national zone finals held at Cheltenham boys college.

Both of the teams competed to the best of their ability and represented the South West region. During the day they played other schools in the south of England.

The girls team which consisted of Larissa Goodger, Hannah Keats, Morgan Goodchild and Casey Princewill played many hard fought games and finished fifth in the competition.

The boys representing the college were George Haskell, Thomas Pearce, Tom Pengelly and Daniel Howell who proved themselves strong competitors in the event by only losing to the winners.

Their strong commitment and talent placed them second in the south of England.
