WITH Andy Murray winning Wimbledon, Portugal beating France in the final of Euro 2016 and Lewis Hamilton taking victory at Silverstone in the British Grand Prix, it was definitely a Super Sunday of sport last weekend — and Okehampton had a Super Sunday of its own as part of the Okehampton Sports and Fitness Festival.
Residents had the chance to jump on a bike, go for a run, play badminton, take part in gymnastics and trampolining or compete in hockey and football tournaments.
The event was organised by OCRA (Okehampton Community Recreation Association). The festival encourages local people to try out new sports or to get back into old favourites.
