THE headline of last week’s front page story in the Okehampton Times about potholes in the lane leading to All Saints Church in Okehampton was spelt incorrectly. It should have read disrespectful. We apologise for the error.

The story described how Okehampton funeral director David Albery has called for action to resurface the lane leading to All Saints Church.

Mr Albery says that the current state of the road, which is marked by deep potholes, is disrespectful to the dead.

Different sections of the churchyard are looked after by Okehampton Town Council, the Parochial Church Council (for the church) and (the historical closed area) West Devon Borough Council.
