APPLICATIONS are now being invited for bursaries to help young people in the Okehampton area with the costs of further or higher education.

Each year the Okehampton United Charities award more than £75,000 in scholarships and bursaries to help young people overcome barriers to training or studying a particular subject.

Applications are now open for financial help for the 2018/19 academic year.

Those applying must be aged under 25 and live within Okehampton parish or one of Okehampton’s four hamlets, Meldon, Stockley, Southcott and Brightley.
